KNIFE STRIKES

 

1) Panastas - forehand slash

2) Palasut - ice pick slash   

3) Pagog - fake first come in opposite

4).Guntang - hit with tang

 

SIX FIGHTING RANGES

 

1)       Largo Mano - (long-range outside) the fighter’s body is outside the reach of his opponent’s weapon, but is opponent’s limb is inside the reach of his weapon.

2)       Fraile - (long-range inside) the fighter’s body is now inside the reach of his opponent’s weapon, and his opponent’s body is inside the reach of his weapon.

3)       Tabon - (close range outside) the fighter is in range to trap the opponent’s weapon hand.

4)       Puno - (close range inside_ the fighter is close enough to use the butt of his weapon.

5)       Tabi Tabi - (lateral infighting range) this range is not a stationary position, but is moved into from tabon or puno range.  The fighter works his way to his opponent’s side to obtain leverage and zoning advantages.

6)       Lacud - (rear infighting range) again, this is not a stationary position.  The fighter works his way around to his opponent’s rear.
